Shahid Kapur has found a new companion – his camera. And so taken is he by his role as a photographer that he spends most of his spare time clicking pictures, especially during his outdoor schedules.
A source says, “Shahid makes the most of his hobby (photography) after he is done with shooting, during his outdoor schedules. Recently, Shahid was in Toronto for almost over three months for the shooting of Aziz Mirza’s Kismat Konnection. After work, he would take his camera and click pictures.”
However, Shahid is not known to have any favourite subjects; he captures anything that catches his fancy. “Be it a beautiful location, people and or just about anything else. Shahid has also captured varied moods of his associates and co-stars. He has already got a huge collection of pictures that he has personally shot,” adds the source.
And it’s not just clicking pictures; Shahid also personally edits the photographs on the computer. He has even made a slideshow on his laptop, and whenever he gets the time, updates his personal album.
Right now, what has caught his fancy is co-star Vidya Balan. When we contacted Vidya Balan to know more about Shahid’s passion, she said, “Shahid has often used the film photographer’s camera to shoot almost everyone on the sets. We were forced to become his subjects. He has an eye for detail, which is very important in photography. I would rate him an eight on ten,” she said.
